Every day is Book Lovers Day at Once Upon a Book Club, but the official Book Lovers Day is celebrated on the 9th of August every year, and it’s a day where we celebrate reading, literature, and all things bookish. It’s time to put away your phones, gadgets, and all other technology and grab a book!

This year it’s on a Friday, which means it’s going to be a Friday night to remember! We may just carry it through until the early hours of Saturday morning. Grab your family, friends, or neighbors and make it a celebration!

Whether you're planning an all-nighter, a reading marathon, or a cozy sleepover, here are some fun ideas that should make your Book Lovers Day unforgettable!

National Book Lovers Day - Book-All-Nighters

What better way to celebrate Book Lovers Day than with an all-night reading session? For those of you with Tweens or Young Adults, it’s a fabulous opportunity to create memories and spend some quality time together while reading your favorite books. One of the best things about a book-all-nighter is the uninterrupted time you get to spend in your favorite fictional worlds.
